这只鞋是灰绿还是粉白？全球网友吵翻天 科学解释在这里
还记得2015年那条让网友吵翻天的裙子吗？白金还是蓝黑，这是个大问题！
当时，无论是普通网友，还是科学家、PS高手，都以空前的热情参与到了这场关于颜色的“混战”之中。
如今，被“白金还是蓝黑”支配的恐惧再度来袭！一双鞋打破了颜色江湖短暂的风平浪静。
Friendships may come to an end. Divorces may be on the horizon. Some may even lose their jobs — all because the blue and black or gold and white dress has returned in the form of blue and gray or pink and white shoes.
友谊的小船要翻，婚姻要走到尽头，有些人可能工作都保不住了……这一切，全都是因为“蓝黑or白金裙子”的问题披着“灰蓝or粉白鞋子”的外衣卷土重来了。
灰绿还是粉白：这鞋到底是啥颜色？
这个问题最初是网友Nicole Coulthard发在脸书小组GIRLSMOUTH的：
“Ok girls so my friend has just sent me this asking what colour the shoe is,I would say pale pink and white, but she insists its pale blue and grey.What do you girls see? Please tell me pink and white!”
姑娘们，我一小姐妹刚刚给我发来这张照片，问我鞋子是什么颜色的。我感觉是浅粉和白色的，她坚持说是浅蓝和灰色的。姑娘们，你们看是什么颜色呢？拜托一定要告诉我是粉白的！

问题一出，引来大量群众围观！
除了粉白、灰蓝，更多网友坚定地认为，鞋子明明就是灰绿色的啊！

你要是觉得这双范斯鞋是粉白，那可能是脑子坏掉了吧。
微博上有人搞起了投票，灰绿党以绝对优势笑傲江湖。
不过，粉白党对此并不买账……
这绝对是粉白！！为啥有人说是别的颜色？你们都看到的是啥？！
还有不少人对自己的眼睛产生了怀疑，一开始觉得是灰绿，后来看着看着就成了粉白……
灰绿党和粉白党僵持不下，但是争论喊话都是苍白的，要想说服对方，必须拿出更有力的证据。
充满钻研精神的报报做了个鞋子图片的RGB色号分析，根本没有粉色啊！
然而，办公室仍然有不少小伙伴坚持认为是粉白无疑。
不光报报办公室炸锅了，英国《地铁报》办公室也十分热闹，编辑写道：
After sending the photo around theMetro.co.ukoffice, most of us are in agreement that the trainer is grey andaqua– with the exception of a few who see pink and white.
把照片发给《地铁报》办公室小伙伴后，大多数人认为鞋子是灰绿，也有个别认为是粉白。

为了弄清照片中的鞋子究竟是什么颜色，《地铁报》联系到了最初发布照片的Nicole。
We spoke to Nicole, who told us her friend bought the shoes a few weeks ago and sent a picture to her mum, who said that blue suited her.
我们联系到了Nicole，她说，几周前朋友买了双鞋，然后发给妈妈看，结果***说“蓝色很适合她”。
She texted back saying they are pink mum, but when she looked at the pic she saw blue too, Nicole told us.
“她发信息说这是粉色的，妈妈。不过等她再看照片，发现还真是蓝的。”
Nicole还说，因为知道朋友买了双粉色的鞋，所以她觉得是粉白的，但照片上到底啥颜色，真的很难抉择。
I only said pink because I knew she had bought pink shoes so that’s why I decided to put it up on girlsmouth.
我说是粉色，因为我知道她买了双粉色的鞋，所以我决定问问网友去。

那么，问题来了……鞋子本身是粉白色的，但为什么照片上看起来就有不同结果了呢？
走近科学之“颜色党争”
接下来是科普时间。
觉得自己或别人眼瞎了的同学都别太激动，因为专家说了：
It’s not about the cells in your eyes.
这与你们眼睛里的细胞没啥关系。
It’s about how your brain is interpreting the light coming into your eyes.
这与你的大脑如何解释进入眼睛的光有关。
所以说是我们的脑子坏了吗？
别急……我们来解释一下这个现象。
❶人眼能感知的数据是有限的
Facebook旗下的虚拟现实（VR）专家Oculus公司的首席科学家Michael Abrash解释说：
Humans only have three colour sensors, we can’t see infrared or ultraviolet and we have a blind spot in each eye.
人类只有三种颜色感应器官，我们无法看到红外线或紫外线，而且我们的每只眼睛都有盲点。
“Our visual data is actually astonishingly sparse and even if we were able to accurately record and process every photon that reaches our eyes, we’d still have too little data to be able to reconstruct the world accurately,” he said.
“实际上，我们的视觉感知到的数据少得惊人，即使我们能够准确地记录和处理每一个到达我们眼睛的光子，我们拥有的数据还是太少，无法准确地复原世界。”他说。
❷你看到的颜色只是主观感受，不是物体的客观属性
因为我们感知的数据有限，所以大脑会构建一个主观世界。
Michael Abrash说：
“The way that the brain compensates for the limited data it receives is by maintaining a model of the real world that it constantly updates as new data comes in.”
“对于其接收到的有限信息，大脑的补偿方法是维持一个现实世界的模型，这个模型随着信息的输入不断更新。”
“And it is that model, not the real world, that you experience and trust implicitly. We are inference machines, not objective observers.”
“所以我们所感受和完全信任的只是这个模型，而不是真正的现实世界。我们是一个干预机器，而不是客观的观察者。 ”
所以，这只鞋子的颜色之争表现的正是每个人的主观判断：
How strongly people are wedded to the idea that colors are properties of objects, when they are in fact made up by the brain.
人们根深蒂固地坚信颜色是物体本身的属性，其实它们不过是大脑的解释罢了。
举一个例子！
来看这张图：
你看到的两个药丸分别是什么颜色？
报报在办公室里做的小调查显示，除了少部分同学看出灰色以外，大多数同学看到的都是蓝色和红色……
然而真相是……

红蓝党遭到暴击……
The colours of the pills arethe same shade of grey, and the red and blue colours that people see are simply what their brains perceive, based on the rest of the information around them.
这两个药片都是一样的灰色，而人们看到的红色和蓝色仅仅是他们的大脑感知，这基于他们周围其余的信息。
And even when a person knows that the pills are grey, they still see them as red or blue.
而且甚至当人们知道药丸是灰色的时候，他们仍然认为他们看见的是红色或蓝色。
原因就是你被自己的大脑“骗”了：
Your visual system constantly corrects for the colours in the scene. It is reverse engineering reality rather than just recording it.The colours seen are your brain’s “best guess.”
你的视觉系统总在修改眼前的色彩。这不是单纯的记录，而是在逆向重建现实。你看到的颜色是你大脑的“最佳猜测”。
❸我们对颜色的判断，和大脑的经验以及周围环境有关
也许你要问，为什么每个人的大脑给出的解释都不一样呢？
洛克菲勒大学（Rockefeller University）认知神经系统学家（cognitive neuroscientist）John Borghi解释了我们视觉形成的过程：
Our vision is heavily influenced by so-calledtop-down processing.
视觉的形成是一种“自上而下”的处理过程。
Top-down processing begins with the brain and flows down, filtering information through our experience and expectations to produce perceptions.
这个过程从大脑开始一路往下，根据我们经验和预期过滤信息，直到产生视觉认知。
每个人的经验和预期不同，关注程度（attention levels）以及眼球运动（eye movements）也不同，所以才会产生认知分歧。
以2015年那条让全球网友吵翻了的裙子为例。
美国威尔斯利学院研究色彩和视觉的神经系统科学家Bevil Conway解释说：
Whats happening here is your visual system is looking at this thing, and youre trying to discount the chromatic bias of the daylight axis.
这里的情况是，你的视觉系统看着这条裙子，然后开始努力排除掉日光色偏。
So people either discount the blue side, in which case they end up seeing white and gold, or discount the gold side, in which case they end up with blue and black.
有的人排除掉了蓝色色偏，这样就看到了白金色，有的人排除掉了金色色偏，这样就看到了蓝黑。
而且，背景的变化，也会影响视觉感知：
Most people will see the blue on the white background as blue. But on the black background some might see it as white.
在白色背景下，大多数人能看到蓝色，而在黑色背景下，一些人看到的则是白色。
